Dr. Jay J. Patel is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon, with locations in Atlanta.
Dr. Patel is a native Atlantan. He attended Brookwood High School and earned his undergraduate degree in microbiology from the University of Georgia, graduating cum laude with honors.
Dr. Patel earned his dental degree (DMD) from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. Upon graduation from dental school, Dr. Patel completed a comprehensive residency at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. During his last year of residency, he served as a chief resident in the department of oral and maxillofacial surgery.

Dr. Patel currently holds a general anesthesia permit, affording him the ability to offer a wide range of anesthetic services. He is an active staff member of Gwinnett Medical Center, where he serves on the Facial Trauma Service.
Dr. Patel remains active in continuing education learning about the latest advancements in the dental field. He is currently a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Georgia Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Patel resides in Atlanta with his wife and two sons.
